About me
A holistic view of health, balance and movement
My name is Marloes Versteegh. From an early age, I was drawn to healthcare and fascinated by how the body functions as a whole. Growing up in a family of medical professionals shaped this passion.
In 2000, I started my own podiatry practice in the Netherlands, where I worked with dedication for 22 years.
Seeking a new adventure, my family and I moved to Spain, where I founded Bodyfrequence in Altea. What began with holistic health, body scans, and personal guidance naturally expanded to include footcare, the foundation of posture and movement.
Personal and professional development have always been important to me. Alongside my work in podiatry, I continued to deepen my knowledge and broaden my perspective.
Through additional training in NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming) and IEMT (Integral Eye Movement Therapy), I discovered how closely physical complaints are connected to mental and emotional factors. This insight was further strengthened during my training as a SOM therapist, where everything came together: the body, the mind and the way we function as a whole.
Health is never just one thing. It is the result of many interconnected elements.
In mainstream healthcare, specialists often focus on their own expertise
However, optimal health depends on the interaction between many systems.
For example, breathing issues are not always purely related to the lungs, and neck or back complaints can be influenced by posture or the way the feet are loaded. Disbalance can arise from physical, mechanical, mental or emotional factors.
In my work, I look beyond isolated symptoms and focus on understanding where imbalance originates whether through body scan insights, foot analysis or personal guidance.
“My mission is to make people aware of their own health and balance.”
A holistic view of health
As a SOM therapist, I work from a holistic perspective. I look at the body as a complete system, in which all functions are interconnected. The body is often able to compensate for minor imbalances for a long time, without immediate symptoms.
When imbalance persists, it may eventually lead to complaints. The GD body scan helps to identify disturbances early, even before symptoms become clearly noticeable, and supports gaining insight into how the body functions at that moment.
Footcare as part of the whole
Today, at Bodyfrequence Health and Footcare, I combine my background in podiatry with holistic health insights.
I offer professional footcare alongside body scans and personal health advice, always with attention to posture, movement and daily load.
Footcare is not separate from the rest of the body, it is an essential part of understanding balance and functioning.
Based on an intake, body scan and/or foot assessment, we look together at your situation whether you have specific complaints or want to work preventively to support your health.
We explore whether imbalance may be physical, mechanical, mental or emotional in nature and use this insight to support the body’s natural ability to function and adapt.
